Class Monitors support instructors and students by helping ensure that classes run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. They serve as a welcoming, organized, and safety-minded presence in the shop, assisting with setup/clean up, materials, participant needs, and overall flow of the session. This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy being helpful, observant, and part of the learning process, even if they are not teaching the course themselves!

The Tool Library Welcome Desk position serves as the first point of contact for members and visitors at the Lancaster Workshop + Tool Library. This role is responsible for greeting guests, managing tool check-outs/check-ins, processing payments, and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment. The Welcome Desk Associate provides information about memberships, hours, and upcoming workshops, while enforcing safety and workspace policies. A warm welcome, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently is ideal for this role!
